I have a mixxt account / a Community membership

• Help! I've lost my mixxt ID.

  No worries. You can also log in with the email address you used for registering with mixxt and find your ID in the mixxt settings under User account. If you don't know which email address you have used, our support team might be your last chance. Just drop them a note (see Feedback page) including your name (which you hopefully still do know ;) ).

• How do I change my password?

  Quite easy! Log into mixxt, go to the mixxt settings (in the top green bar) and select User account. After entering your old password you may choose and confirm a new one by entering it twice. Finish your changes by clicking Save.

• How do I sign up at mixxt?

  If you visit mixxt.com, there is a link in the upper right sidebar which says "Register here for free!". By clicking this link, you reach the registration, where you select your mixxt-ID (your user name) first. Please note that you cannot use blanks or special characters within this ID. Then you have to provide some personal data as well as your password and email address. You can be sure that we won't give away those data to third parties, as we also state in our terms and conditions.

  After registering you receive an email to activate your user account. By clicking the link within this email, the mixxt main page shows up and you can sign in with your user name (mixxt-ID). Just go ahead!

• I've lost my password. Can you help me?

  Of course. mixxt provides a Forgot your passwort? link beneath each login box. Enter your mixxt-ID (username) or the email address you used for registering with mixxt and click Continue. You will then automatically receive an email with further instructions.

• Is it possible to delete my mixxt-ID/my profile?

  What a pity, but: yes, it is! Log into mixxt, go to the mixxt settings (in the top green bar) and select User account. Click the Delete account button and confirm your request on the following screen. Please note that this step quits your membership in all communities and deletes all your data on mixxt. • How do I become a member of a mixxt Community?

  On the main page of a Community, you find the text "Hello user XY, you are not a member of this network (yet?)." By clicking the button "become a member" you reach the network access dialogue. There are three different options of becoming a member:

  1. You are invited by the network founder.
  2. You register for a network but must wait for the founder to confirm your membership.
  3. You register for a network and can instantly get interactive.

  Depending on the network founder's requirements, you have to answer some profile questions or state your intention for joining the Community. Now you can start discovering the platform, connect and share information with other members. Have fun!

• How do I quit my membership in a Community?

  Log into mixxt, go to the mixxt settings (in the top green bar) and select Network settings. Here's a list of all communities you are a member of. To leave a network, just hit the red cross behind the respective entry. After confirming your request, all your data will be deleted from the community and your blog or forum posts will be anonymised.

• I am trying to leave a community but you don't let me. Why?

  You cannot leave a community if you are the network host or an administrator. But there is a simple solution: First you need to make another member admin and host (see I want another member to become the network host. Possible?, and downgrade youself to being a "normal member" in the member administration. As soon as you have passed all these responsibilities, you are free to quit your membership.

• Which Communities am I a member of?

  In the green mixxt bar at the top of every page you'll find the mixxt settings. If you then choose the network settings, you'll find an overview of all your Communities and can navigate to the respective Community straight away.
